Whole maize is kibbled (or chopped)to make it easier for wild birds and poultry to digest. It is high in carbohydrates and oils which are valuable for wild birds in the cold months of winter and the energetic months of the mating season.
Kibbled maize is suitable for feeding from a bird table, feeder or the ground. It can be fed as a straight feed for chickens but we recommend feeding it as part of a mix for wild birds.
